Ideal de la Haisse Wins $5,000 Morning Star Sporthorses

Mandy Porter rode Ideal de La Haisse to the win in the $5,000 Morning Star Sporthorses 1.40m Winning Round at the Split Rock Jumping Tour's Sonoma International. Porter had the fastest clean ride in each of the two rounds where the top 10 advanced to round 2, and she noted that the "Winning Round" format impacted her strategy.

"I enjoy this format although I feel it does put a little added pressure on your first round," she said. "We had 11 go clean today and I've been that 11th in the past so I tried to ride the first round as efficiently as possible. I have a great horse and I'm really thrilled with how it worked out today."
